Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks of the year)

The post is for 18 hours per week, as follows: 

       10am - 2pm each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 

        11am - 2pm each Thursday

 

Remuneration will be on Kent Range 2 pro rata to actual hours (actual pay equates to £5,959.98 pa, for 18 hours p/wk, 38 weeks p/year)

We are looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team here at Riverview Junior School from January 2018.  Previous experience would be an advantage as would any related qualifications and training in the smooth operations of a successful school kitchen.

The successful candidate will possess an excellent attention to detail, and a flexible approach with a hardworking attitude.

Information about the school

Riverview Junior School is a very popular four form entry Key Stage 2 school on a large site we share with the Infant School.

Our extensive site offers lots of opportunities for outdoor learning, including an outdoor library, two football pitches, MUGA, outdoor intervention area, animal farm and forest school, and we offer large well-resourced classrooms.

We are delighted to announce that our recent Ofsted inspection, carried out in February 2022, graded the school’s overall effectiveness as ‘Good’ with ‘Behaviour Attitudes’, ‘Personal Development and Leadership Management’ all being graded as Outstanding;.

We are now part of The Golden Thread Alliance and we work closely with the other schools in the trust.
