Finance Officer - 20 hours per week term time only + 5 training days and 2 weeks during school holidays.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful person to join our office team at this large Primary School. You will be responsible for managing the school's finance system, setting and monitoring the school's budget. You will regularly report to the Headteacher and Governors and meet statutory financial deadlines.

You must have a Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) with accountancy, a good general level of education, (GCSE equivalent in Maths and English to Grade C) financial experience, preferably in school and an ability to communicate a range of financial information. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, together with good word processing skills and computer literacy are essential. Other necessary qualities include a mature and sensitive manner, excellent interpersonal skills, confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.

We have 16 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour. Our excellent facilities include a library, extensive outdoor learning areas and an ASD Satellite.
