We are looking for a highly organised and dedicated individual to join our team. A working knowledge of the best practice and the ability to inspire and support both children and adults will be a key requirement. An active willingness to contribute to whole school improvement is vital. The post will involve supporting children with learning either in or outside of classrooms, individually or in groups, as well as leading specialist interventions.

The successful candidate will also be expected to take a full part in lunchtime activities and supervision. So an ability to play, have fun, actively supervise and a good deal of common sense is essential. In addition to this, all employees of the school are expected to contribute to the wider life of the school community and candidates should be mindful of this when applying for the position.

Candidates must have experience of working with childrenin Key Stage 2  and be able to offer expertise in specific recognised learning intervention programmes. A knowledge of the Read Write Inc would also be useful. An understanding of the demands of the new National Curriculum is essential.

Shortlisted candidates may be observed working with children as part of the selection process and will be expected to have visited the school prior to interview.

HOURS OF WORK - 8.30-13.00 5 days per week. TERM TIME ONLY PLUS TEACHER TRAINING DAYS

Pay - Kent Scheme 3 pro rata.

Our school is a successful, thriving community. It has grown from 5 classes to a vibrant and successful primary school with 329 pupils. The school is set in delightful grounds and benefits from a completely modernised, bright and attractive building. Technology at the school is good, every classroom being equipped with interactive smartboards as well as tablets, Ipads, kindles and laptops.

The school budget is healthy and allows staff to plan exciting real life learning for the children both on and off site.

Administration is provided by a Resources Manager, Executive Assistant and a Receptionist/Administrator. They work together in our busy school office to ensure the smooth running of the school. They are a great team, highly skilled, friendly and professional. Please do come and meet them!
