We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person who loves working with young children to join our Reception Class for a one year fixed position. You would be working as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Wants to work as part of a team
  • Can be flexible and is willing to support children in a variety of situations
  • Has enthusiasm and absolute commitment
  • Has GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in BOTH Maths & English
  • A minumum of NVQ/CACHE Level 2 (or equivalent), Level 3 desirable

A further advantage would be:

  • Experience of working in an Early Years setting or school environment
  • Knowledge of specific programmes or interventions including Speech, Language and Communication
  • First Aid or experience of supporting children with personal care

This is a term-time only fixed term contract until the end of July 2017.  Hours will be 32.5 per week, term time only.

Goat Lees Primary School opened in September 2013 and currently has just over 200 children on roll. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’.

Information about the school

Goat Lees Primary School is a one form entry Primary School which opened in September 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’. As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools across the Ashford District to provide support and opportunities for collaboration across our schools.

Our innovative building has been designed by a collaboration of experienced local headteachers and a nationally nominated architectural company which has created a beautiful space in which to stimulate learning. We have further enhanced our facilities by building a performing arts room with a large outdoor stage as part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

At Goat Lees, we pride ourselves on ensuring that we have done the very best for all our children and work together to bring out the best in everyone. Our staff, governors, children and parents are all incredibly proud of our achievements and our most recent Ofsted report (January 2020) concluded Goat Lees Primary School continues to be a good school.
