KS2 Teacher Part time Maternity cover

Start date end of September 2017

We are looking to appoint two temporary teachers (one full time, one part time 0.4) preferably from the 16th October to cover maternity leave whcih begins the 30th October.

The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations, supportive of our ethos - Work hard, be kind. You will need to be a strong team player, keen to make a difference for children, well organised, flexible and a great team player. You’ll share our commitment to develop the skills and talents of each child. The ideal candidate will embrace outdoor learning and foster children’s independence and thinking skills, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning.

Our school has been part of the Veritas Multi Academy Trust since May 2018. Ofsted report September 2022 rates our school as GOOD with an OUTSTANDING Early Years. Our irresistible curriculum and inclusive ethos ensures that all children achieve their potential.

The school is situated in the beautiful city of Canterbury, benefitting from many excellent cultural opportunities. We have wonderful grounds, including a forest school. Learning outside the classroom is a school priority.

We are on an exciting journey to rebuild our school and are working with the Department for Education on a new build project.
