Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning of computing.

This is a temporary role (1 year) for a teaching assistant to support the teaching of computing in the ICT suite. 1.00 – 3.00 4 days a week, Tues - Friday, 39 weeks per annum (term time only, plus 5 staff development days).

KR3 £15,253 - £16,976 (full time) dependent upon experience

This is a unique opportunity to join our friendly, vibrant school. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with our well behaved, respectful pupils and help develop the computing skills that they will need for the future. The successful applicant should have competent computing knowledge but will also have the opportunity to ‘up-level’ their own skills. You would have access to the planning in advance and regular handover time with the specialist computing teacher.

The role itself would involve supporting the delivery of the curriculum. The specialist teacher leads the teaching input and the assistant would be on hand to help the children follow instructions and access the learning. There are clear expectations of behaviour for the children in the ICT suite and all adults would be responsible for ensuring that the children meet these expectations.

Although previous experience of working in a school could be advantageous, it is not essential.

The school is open for further information or tours from 16th August but we would be pleased to receive applications earlier than this via Kent Teach. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 23rd August. Interview date to be confirmed.

Contact school on 01622 623772 (Terrie Hennon, PA to the Head Teacher) for further information or a tour after 16th August.
