The Sallygate School is an independent SEMH School for students aged 7-17.  The Sallygate School is part of Channels and Choices which is a Therapeutic Residential & Fostering Service for young people.  All of our students are currently Children in Care.

We are seeking to recruit a KS3/4 Maths/Science Teacher who is a great all rounder- enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated. A strong commitment to moving the school to Outstanding and leading by example are of key importance. 

Successful candidates will be:

  • An excellent practitioner with high expectations of teaching and learning, achievement and behaviour
  • Able to offer learners a high quality curriculum, giving them confidence to succeed
  • Ability to teach mathematics/Science across the key stages is desirable
  • Able to inspire students through the delivery of motivational lessons and to reduce gaps in learning for our students
  • Able to support our students to reach their full potential

The Sallygate School is an Independent Special School catering to the unique needs of pupils with SEMH which opened in 2011. Located in the heart of the Alkham Valley, near Dover, the Sallygate School is part of Channels & Choices Therapeutic Community which comprises of several therapeutic residential children’s homes, an independent therapeutic fostering agency and a multi-disciplinary therapy service, including SaLT & OT service.

At Sallygate School, we believe in providing a comprehensive and sequenced curriculum pathway that caters to the diverse needs of all our learners.
