We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant for September 2017. The successful candidate will support a Year 6 pupil with emotional and mental health issues within the classroom under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENCO.  Ideally we would welcome applications from candidates who possess experience of working with children with special educational needs.

The role will be for one year on a fixed term contract from 6th September 2017 to 24th July 2018 on Kent Range 4, 27 ½ hours per week, term time only.

We are hoping to recruit a Teaching Assistant who will have an understanding and caring attitude and is committed to the school’s learning and development goals. They will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills together with effective oral and written communication skills.  We expect all staff to be able to make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life.

Wentworth Primary School (Acad) is situated near Dartford Heath and is close to the border with the London Borough of Bexley. The School serves its local community in Dartford and Crayford. It is very popular and is regularly oversubscribed, our current pupil role is over 650 pupils.
