We wish to appoint an outstanding, dedicated and highly motivated teaching assistant for a Year 3 class. This position would be predominantly to work 1:1 with a child with behaviour needs as well as some general classroom support.

We need someone who:

  • Who has experience of working 1:1 with behaviour needs
  • A good understanding of the Year 3 curriculum
  • Experience of using different interventions
  • Necessary qualifications ideally NVQL2/3 in child care
  • An ability to communicate and work as part of a team

This is a temporary contract starting in September for 25 hours a week during term time.

Information about the school

Teynham is a semi rural location with good transport links (both bus and train). Currently we have 200 pupils in seven classes. The school has spacious school grounds, including playgrounds, sports field, wellbeing area and environmental areas, including a Forest School. We also have an ICT suite and purpose built meeting room. We have strong links with the Pre-school (situated on site) and local church. We work as a team supporting each other and ensuring that we do the best for our children. The school is undergoing an exciting transformation and a new build, with expansion to two form entry, is planned for September 2025.
