SEND Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant specialising in Speech and Language difficulties to support individuals and small groups of pupils.   The post will initially be for a fixed term until December ’17. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference to children’s development, supporting and encouraging them as they strive to achieve their goals.

The successful candidate will have some experience working with children with Speech and Language issues either in a mainstream or a specialist setting.  They must also have a good standard of English (written and spoken) and Maths to enable them to model and support appropriately, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

Information about the school

We are a semi-rural school, set in very attractive surroundings. The school is housed in modern buildings, and is very well resourced throughout. Christian values, a caring ethos and having high self-esteem and expectations are important to us. Our children are enthusiastic, positive learners, and are a joy to teach. For many of them English is an additional language. All the staff enjoy working as a close team, being completely committed to the progress and well-being of our learners, but also having lots of fun.
