The Governing Body of St. Mary's is seeking to appoint a clerk to the Governors who is reliable, confident, organised, with good interpersonal and communication skills and with an interest in school governance. The successful candidate will need to be competent in ICT skills and have secure access to a computer and the internet.

The Clerk will be accountable to the Governing Body, working effective with the Chair of Governors and the Head Teacher.  The Clerk will provide procedural and legal guidance, collate and distribute agendas and papers in advance of meetings, take accurate notes to produce well presented minutes for distribution and co-ordinate appeal panels and hearings.

There are various meetings per academy year (Governing Body and associated committees). The contract will be for 210 hours for a fixed period of one year.
