Leading Head Teacher

Are you absolutely focused on Primary School Improvement?

Do you have the experience, passion and drive to effect change in more than one school?

Can you develop our Head Teachers who have led outstanding schools, good schools and brought schools out of special measures?

Do you have clarity of purpose about what is important in the lives of Primary School children?

The Primary First Trust is seeking to appoint a Leading Head Teacher to effect school improvement in the schools within our Trust. As its name suggests, we are passionate about Primary School improvement but we are not advisors, we are practitioners with a track record of professional achievements. The Leading Head Teacher will work with other practitioners in a very small number of schools and their support to the local Head Teacher and local Governing Body will be invaluable in providing the highest quality education to children within the Trust.

The Trust itself currently consists of eight schools in the South East and the Leading Head Teacher role will be a unique opportunity to work directly with the Director of Education to shape the educational opportunities for children.

We are seeking someone who:

  • has the professional expertise, knowledge and ability to work successfully with Head Teachers, senior managers, teachers and governors;
  • has excellent presentation and communication skills;
  • has a proven track record in school improvement;
  • is able to take a strategic lead in the professional development of school leaders; and
  • is able to work as a member of a team providing strategic leadership to schools across the Primary First Trust.

For an informal discussion about the role with the C.E.O., Justin Smith or Director of Education, Katherine Powell, please email Sarah Thompson at sthompson@theprimaryfirsttrust.co.uk

Post Starting Date: September 2017

Contract type: Full time/Permanent or 0.8 available for the right candidate.

Closing date for application: Midday, Friday 10th March 2017
