Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Cover Supervisor)

Hours: 0.6 contract - Term-Time Only

Additional hours will regularly be available.

Contract Type: Permanent

Grade: Kent Range 5

Salary: £17,651-£19,414 Pro rata

 

 At Rosherville Academy we are looking for a qualified HLTA to cover PPA and provide cover as required.   The ability to cover all subjects including PE, whilst supported by a Teaching Assistant is required.  You will be expected to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers. 

This rewarding role will suit someone with significant experience of working alongside teachers and independently within the primary  phase.  You will have a working knowledge of school pastoral systems and be highly motivated with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. 

You must be able to use your own initiative and act as a positive role model to pupils. You must be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection. It is a requirement of the role that you hold a GCSE in English and Maths of C grade or equivalent. A HLTA qualification or equivalent is required. 

You will also be expected to attend relevant training courses and Inset days as required
