DEPUTY HEAD OF ENTERPRISE FACULTY

We are looking for a highly motivated teacher of Mathematics to join a team committed to raising standards and expectations. The post will suit a high quality Mathematics teacher who is ready to take on a leadership post within a strong and highly professional Faculty team.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in and help shape our Academy, at an exciting stage in its development. The post reflects the expansion of the Academy, is a key leadership position, and offers significant scope for professional and career development as the Academy continues to grow in size.

The successful candidate should be an ambitious colleague who combines excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate both staff and students. They should be a hardworking, creative, energetic, and excellent classroom practitioner in Mathematics. They will have the capacity to help us establish a vibrant learning environment, and a culture of enthusiasm for learning.

We are keen to appoint a colleague whose professionalism and dedication will enable our students to achieve more than they believe possible.

The Enterprise Faculty specialises in Mathematics, ICT and Business Studies, all are taught as discrete subjects from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. The Enterprise Faculty is a successful Faculty that has grown both in size and range of subjects taught over the past 5 year. In both 2015 and 2016 GCSE Mathematics progress result were ranked in the top 1% nationally by Raiseonline.

The Position

The post of Deputy Head of Enterprise Faculty is a full time, permanent position. We have a strong commitment to professional development and provide appropriate training to ensure all teachers at the Academy are good and outstanding classroom practitioners as well as enabling them to grow as leaders for the future. We are seeking an outstanding Mathematician who is keen to support the further development of the Enterprise Faculty.   Experience in teaching successfully to at least GCSE level is required.

Information about the trust

The Trust comprises of Skinners’ Kent Academy and Skinners’ Kent Primary School.

The Academy opened on September 1st 2009. It is an independent, non fee-paying, mixed, all ability school, funded by the DfE and supported fully by its lead sponsor The Skinners’ School, a grammar school for boys and the Skinners’ Company. The Skinners’ Kent Academy Trust is founded on the principles of a culture of high standards and high aspirations, a culture of active participation, an emotionally rich learning environment and an inclusive environment where every child is known and every learner supported.
