St. Gregory’s has a maternity leave of absence to cover, so is looking for a teacher who will brilliantly and seamlessly fit into St. Gregory’s team of high achieving, enthusiastic, proactive and energetic staff, and so be willing to give just as much as they get! Although the post is initially to cover a maternity leave of absence from February 2017 to the end of the academic year 2017, it is possible that the post could become long-term.

If you are full of good ideas, with plenty of common-sense and a keen sense of humour, perhaps you would enjoy working alongside like-minded people in a forward-thinking environment?

The school’s GB and SLT have high expectations for all staff and so any applicant will need to be confident in showing that they strive for excellence in all areas.

The welfare and progress of pupils remains the school’s priority and our children are at the centre of all that is decided in school, as such you will contribute to a child centred and creative approach to teaching and learning; able to demonstrate a caring, Christian, learning ethos.

A visit to the school is strongly recommended. Application packs are available and all written applications must be made using the Catholic Education Service (CES) provided Teacher Application Form.

St. Gregory’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, so successful applicants will need to undertake all the usual Safeguarding checks including an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Information about the school

St Gregory’s is a one and a half form entry primary school of just under 300 children in the popular seaside town of Margate. Despite being a small school, we have large, leafy grounds with plenty of space for everyone, a forest school and an outdoor gym as well as a purpose built hub for interventions. We pride ourselves on excellent pastoral care. Huge attention focuses on individual need as well as academic progress; we see children as individuals.

As a team, we focus on nurturing children to become confident, resilient learners who are keen to challenge themselves and persevere in the face of adversity. St Gregory's is often referred to by staff and parents as a family; this is an exciting opportunity to join our family.

We can offer enthusiastic, confident, happy and caring children, who are always eager to learn. If you can make learning fun yet challenging, inspire young minds and meet the needs of every child then we would love to hear from you.
