We are seeking to appoint an excellent and experienced part-time EYFS qualified teacher to join our excellent Reception team for a fixed term contract to July 2017. 

You will have the opportunity to be part of a creative and forward thinking team who put children's learning and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.

If you are passionate about children's learning, committed to developing Outstanding Early Years practice, a good communicator and a team player, then this role is for you!

We require you to be:-

  • A fully qualified teacher with QTS.
  • A reflective, caring practitioner, with a proven record of excellent practice.
  • Someone who has a secure current working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • An inspiring role model who motivates and nurtures our children's wellbeing and development.
  • A resourceful person who can support the creation of exciting and stimulating communication friendly spaces in all areas of the Reception classrooms.
  • A calm communicator, who can work skillfully within our school team and with families.

  • A part-time position (0.5fte), working Wednesday afternoons, and two full days alongside an experienced and highly skilled teacher. (Days are nogotiable)

St Alphege CE Infant School and Sunbeams Nursery is a happy school within a vibrant Whitstable community with strong links to our sister school Herne CE Infant School.

We have a spacious building with excellent resources, an urban forest area, access to the beach and strong links with our local schools. The school is two form entry with an LA Maintained Nursery offering fully flexible provision. The school is strongly committed to working closely with families and the community.
