KS2 Teaching Assistant Vacancy

Do you have experience in supporting teaching and learning in Key Stage 2? Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who enjoys working with children in a primary school? We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant TA team to support the development and progress of our children.

Do you have a particular passion or interest in supporting children with their Literacy learning which you could bring to the team? Please make sure that your application reflects the full range of skills and experience which you would bring to the post, which would make you the ideal candidate.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work in partnership with class teachers and other TAs to achieve the best outcomes for our children each day during morning lessons
  • Deliver high quality personalised interventions and support during the afternoons on a 1:1 or small group basis to enable children to make accelerated progress– if your passion is in supporting Literacy, we would look to place you within our dedicated Literacy team and would support your continuing professional development
  • Be ambitious and motivated, demonstrating high expectations of yourself, as well as our children
  • Have a positive outlook; be vibrant, with a sense of optimism and the ability to be flexible in order to meet children’s needs

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet children’s needs.

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs A-C including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above. Candidates must have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.
