The Discovery School is looking for a business manager to join our outstanding team and to play a key role in the administration and leadership of our happy and successful school. The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, with responisbility for undertaking aspects of the school leadership and management, including:

  • Financial management
  • Management Information
  • Facility & Property Management
  • Health & Safety Management
  • Advising on personnel and procurement and monitoring all contracts

We are looking for someone who:

  • would be determined to make a difference to our school and our community
  • is flexible, resilient and able to prioritise essential tasks
  • has the ability to establish and manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships
  • can ensure the effective management, recording and reporting of the school's finances
  • works well as a part of a team and has a good sense of humour

This is a part time (0.5) permanent position at KR8, subject to experience, and is to start in readiness for the new school year.

The Discovery School is an outstanding and popular, three form entry school, beautifully situated in large, attractive grounds in the heart of the development of Kings Hill. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted (February 2023) and have been judged to be Outstanding in all areas, including overall effectiveness.
