Location:  Heath Farm College, Maidstone, ME16 0ER
Hours:      37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.00pm
Salary:      £23,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:        August 2026

About the Role

As a Youth Coach at Heath Farm College, you'll support students' behaviour, wellbeing and engagement, delivering targeted interventions that help young people develop positive behaviours, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. Working with colleagues, families and external professionals, you'll help create a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

What You Will Do

  • Support students' behaviour, wellbeing and emotional regulation.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions.
  • Implement behaviour plans and support bespoke learning programmes.
  • Build positive relationships with families and professionals.
  • Complete records, risk assessments and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to whole-school behaviour and wellbeing initiatives.

What You Will Bring

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
  • Experience in youth work, coaching, mentoring, education, care or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patience, resilience and a positive, proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Heath Farm College is situated in Maidstone and has capacity to support up to 58 students. The provision facilitates a professional post 16 provision for students with EHCPs who are not ready for a large FE college or large school/academy 6th Form provision.
