Our successful wraparound provision provides a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can play, learn, socialise and thrive before and after the school day. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children and who can help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating atmosphere.

About the Role

Working as part of our Wraparound Care team, you will:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality breakfast and after-school provision for children.
  • Help plan and lead enjoyable play, creative and enrichment activities.
  • Promote children's wellbeing, safety and development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction.
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of healthy snacks and meals.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene and safeguarding.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have experience of working with children or a genuine interest in supporting their development.
  • Are caring, reliable, enthusiastic and approachable.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification or are willing to undertake training.

Flexible Working Arrangements

This position is offered on a zero-hours contract to provide maximum flexibility for both the school and staff.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to either:

  • A minimum of two late after-school club shifts per week, or
  • A minimum of five hours per week across the breakfast and/or after-school provision.

Typical shift times are:

  • Breakfast Club: 8.00am – 8.45am
  • After School Club (short shift): 3.15pm – 3.45pm
  • After School Club (late shift): 3.15pm – 6.00pm

Additional shifts may be available subject to the needs of the provision.

Rotas are prepared by the Wraparound Care Supervisor and issued one week in advance. Staff can discuss and agree their availability on a weekly basis, enabling a flexible approach to work that fits around other commitments.
