Information about the school

Egerton Pre-School is a popular, well attended term-time setting providing care for children aged 2 to 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday, from 8.45am to 2.45pm, for 38 weeks of the year.

We offer a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment where children feel secure, valued and supported. Through play-based learning and meaningful experiences, children are encouraged to build confidence, independence and a love of learning while having fun.

Our daily routine is planned to support each child’s development through a balance of whole-group, small-group and one-to-one activities. We promote learning across all seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping children develop the skills they need for their next stage of learning.

We believe every child is unique. We are proud to be an inclusive setting and work closely with families and external professionals to ensure every child is supported to achieve their best.

Strong communication between parents and staff is very important to us. Each child is assigned a key worker who will support them throughout their time with us, and we always encourage parents to get in touch with any questions or concerns.

Our preschool is a pack away setting based in Egerton Village Hall, in the rural village of Egerton, 20 minutes from Ashford. There is no public transport to the village, but the preschool has ample car parking available for staff and parents.
