St George’s CE Primary School is seeking a committed and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming and successful team. We are looking for a hardworking, flexible and inclusive individual who is dedicated to helping pupils thrive, particularly those with special educational needs.

About the Role

  • 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday,  term time only (38 weeks)
  • Working under the direction of the SENDCo, you will provide targeted support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Deliver personalised interventions and adapt support strategies to meet individual learning, social and emotional needs
  • Liaise closely with the SENDCo, class teachers and wider staff team to promote pupil progress, independence and inclusion
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and act as a key adult, helping them access learning and achieve their individual targets

  • A strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Experience of supporting children within a school setting is essential
  • The ability to build trusting relationships and provide personalised support to pupils with additional needs
  • Flexibility, patience and excellent communication skills
