Downsview Community Primary School is looking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and caring After School Club Supervisor to lead our after school provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and can help provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment at the end of the school day. The successful candidate will supervise pupils, organise a range of activities, support positive behaviour and ensure children are well cared for until they are collected.

The role will involve leading the day-to-day running of the club, including setting up and clearing away resources, preparing simple snacks and refreshments, maintaining accurate registers, communicating with parents and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and understands how to meet their needs

  • Can create a calm, positive and inclusive environment

  • Is confident supervising groups of children

  • Can plan and lead simple games, crafts and activities

  • Has good communication skills with children, parents and staff

  • Is reliable, organised and able to work independently

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and health and safety

  • Is committed to supporting the values and ethos of Downsview Community Primary School

Previous experience of working with children in a school, childcare, playwork or similar setting would be desirable, but the right attitude, warmth and reliability are just as important.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.00pm to 6.00pm, 15 hours per week
Contract: 38 weeks per year, term time only
Pay: Kent Scheme B

Downsview Community Primary School is an open, inclusive and welcoming school set in a semi-rural location in Swanley. We are a one form entry school with classes from Reception to Year 6. We are fortunate to be set in extensive grounds with lots of opportunities for outdoor learning and recreation.
