Do you have experience in supporting children within an Early Years or Primary School Key Stage 1 setting? Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who can show initiative and enjoys working with children? 

We are looking for the right person who will:

· Work in partnership with our teaching team to support children's needs

.  Offer flexibility to work with children in the class, small group work and with individuals.

· Be organised, flexible and willing to use your initiative in order to meet children’s needs

· Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet our children’s needs.

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs with a good pass including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above.

The hours will be 8.45 to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. The post is temporary until 31 December 2026

Lydden Primary School is a small rural village school catering for approximately 80 children between the ages of 4-11. Children learn in our four classes.

We aspire for all children to become confident, caring individuals who achieve well academically and develop a love of learning. We aim for our children to develop lifelong skills, taking responsibility for their own learning so that they can face future challenges with confidence.

We know that children learn best when they are happy. We aim to develop self-confidence and have a holistic approach to learning and the curriculum; which enables our children to live as responsible members of their communities.
