New Line Learning Academy is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated Teaching Assistants to support pupils on the SEND register (including those with Education, Health and Care Plans), both within the classroom and through targeted intervention programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and inclusive team dedicated to ensuring that all students achieve their full potential. Successful candidates will work closely with teachers, SEND staff and families to provide personalised support that enables pupils to access learning, develop independence and make excellent progress.

We are looking for individuals who have experience of supporting young people in both small group and one-to-one settings and who are committed to developing their expertise in SEND provision. Teaching Assistants at New Line Learning Academy receive a comprehensive programme of professional development and specialist training, enabling them to become highly skilled practitioners in delivering evidence-based interventions across a range of needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective in-class support for students with EHCPs.
  • Delivering high-quality targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Building positive relationships that promote student engagement, confidence and independence.
  • Monitoring, recording and evaluating the impact of interventions on student outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEND team to adapt support strategies and ensure students make sustained progress.
  • Contributing to the review process for students with additional needs through accurate record-keeping and feedback.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have recent experience of working with children or young people of a relevant age.
  • Have experience of supporting learning within an educational or supported learning environment.
  • Be able to use their own initiative and work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a creative and solution-focused approach to supporting students with a range of needs.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and training.
  • Be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives and outcomes of young people.

The role is 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Friday 8:00am-3:30pm, working 38 weeks per year.
