Job role: Science Laboratory Technician

Salary: FMAT Band Support Staff Payscale - £24,175.50 (FTE)

ACTUAL SALARY - £21,072.92 for 37 hours per week - Term Time plus 1 week

Hours: Monday – Thursday - 8.30am – 4.30pm

Friday – 8.30am – 4.00pm

(30 minutes unpaid lunch break on all days)

Contract Status: Permanent

Contract Start Date: September 2026

Fulston Manor School is seeking to appoint a Science Laboratory Technician to join our Multi Academy Trust and support the delivery of an engaging and successful Science curriculum.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of technicians, providing practical and technical support to the Science Department. Applicants should be educated to A Level standard (or equivalent) in a science subject. Previous experience working within a science laboratory environment would be advantageous, although not essential.

We are looking for an individual who is organised, reliable, and able to work calmly and flexibly in a busy school environment. A professional approach, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with both staff and students are essential. Supporting students' learning and helping them achieve their full potential will be at the heart of the role.
