Student Manager – Required for September 2026

Salary:  MNS Range 7 + Support Staff Responsibility Allowance

We are seeking a committed and dynamic Student Manager to join our pastoral team, supporting the development, wellbeing and behaviour of students within an assigned year group. You will need to be confident working with young people and managing challenging situations, have strong communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, you will need to be organised, proactive and able to use initiative.

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires you to work closely with Heads of Year to promote positive behaviour, support vulnerable students and build strong relationships with families.

Due to current staffing arrangements, the role also includes a temporary responsibility for attendance across the year group. This attracts an additional Support Staff Responsibility allowance (SSR), reviewed annually.

Hours are 37 per week. 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break daily) term time only.

Salary:  Currently £28,261.00 - £31,994.00 per annum – full time equivalent, plus temporary SSR of £3,506 pa.  As this position is term time only, the actual salary equates to £24,523.87 - £27,763.23 pa plus a temporary SSR for the attendance responsibility of £3,506 pa.  Please note that salary reviews take place each September and as such the salary quoted above may increase at that time.

Further details about the role and the additional attendance responsibility are available to view on the attached job descriptions/person specification.
