Premises Maintenance Operative – Required as soon as possible

Salary:  MNS Range 6/7 (depending on experience)

We are looking for a committed and motivated Premises Maintenance Operative (Caretaker) to join our site team. This position will assist with the care of the academy premises, ranging from basic general maintenance duties, porterage, taking care of our external areas and maintaining a high standard of appearance across the site, and other duties, supporting the current team in ensuring the health, safety, and security of the academy.

Applicants need to be trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, physically fit, conscientious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Full induction and training will be provided, with the successful applicant initially shadowing the team/shifts until comfortable and trained in the site processes.

Hours are 37 per week; however, as an employer who embraces flexible working, we are happy to accept applications from those also looking for part-time or job-share opportunities.

The site team operates a shift system on a rotating basis: 6.00am – 2.00pm, 7.30am – 3.30pm, 11.00am – 7.00pm or, when required to provide cover, 2.00pm – 10.00pm (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break). Hours may be varied depending upon need. One day per week will be an early finish of 30 minutes, as advised. You will be required to work one in three Saturdays, 8.30am – 4.00pm (with a Friday granted in lieu).

27 days annual leave plus bank holidays and time off between Christmas and New Year (rising to 29 days after 5 years continuous service). (20% of which can be taken during term time – subject to line management agreement).

Salary:  Currently £26,133.00 - £31,994.00 per annum (depending upon experience).
