New Preschool Opening in Sevenoaks – September 2026

We are excited to be opening a new preschool in Sevenoaks this September and are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated SENCO Coordinator to join our founding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape an inclusive, nurturing, and ambitious early years environment from the very beginning. We are seeking a professional who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the preschool.
  • Identify, assess, and support children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Develop and review Individual Support Plans and targeted interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, staff, and external professionals.
  • Support practitioners in delivering high-quality inclusive practice.
  • Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate SEND documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with the EYFS Framework and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and high expectations for all children.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • SENCO qualification or willingness to undertake SENCO training.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs in an early years setting.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a SENCO role.
  • Experience working with external agencies and local authority services.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development, autism, and early intervention strategies.
