Class Teacher – Lower Key Stage 2

1-Year Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2027 (in the first instance)

Start Date: 1st September 2026

Bromstone Primary School is not your average school. We are a vibrant, inclusive and highly rewarding place to work, serving a wonderfully diverse community of children with a wide range of needs and strengths. We are seeking a passionate, resilient and highly motivated Lower Key Stage 2 teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2026.

Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners who are committed to making a genuine difference to children's lives.

This role would suit a teacher who embraces challenge, thinks creatively and understands that outstanding teaching is about adapting, innovating and building strong relationships. At Bromstone, no two days are the same. We need someone who can approach teaching and learning with flexibility, imagination and determination, creating engaging and memorable learning experiences that inspire children to succeed.

Our children deserve teachers who believe in them unconditionally and who are committed to removing barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering a broad, ambitious and enriched curriculum that develops children's curiosity, confidence, independence and love of learning.

Bromstone is a truly unique school with significantly higher levels of additional need than those seen nationally:

  • 42% of our pupils are on the SEND register, including EHCPs (National average: 14.2%)
  • 17% of our pupils have an Education, Health and Care PlanEHCP (National average: 5.3%)
  • 200 children are eligible for Pupil Premium funding – 48% of our pupils

As a Thrive school, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do. Most classes benefit from the support of at least two teaching assistants, enabling us to provide high-quality provision for all learners. We recognise that working in our context requires resilience, adaptability and a commitment to meeting children where they are, while maintaining high expectations and aspirations for every child.

In return, we offer:

  • Enthusiastic, caring and resilient children who will make you smile every day
  • A welcoming, supportive and dedicated staff team
  • High-quality professional development and regular instructional coaching
  • A strong culture of collaboration and wellbeing
  • The opportunity to make a profound difference to the lives of children and families

At Bromstone, we are driven by our vision: Dream, Believe, Achieve.

If you are looking for a role where you can be creative, develop your practice and make a lasting impact, we would love to hear from you.

We strongly encourage prospective candidates to visit the school. Please contact the school office to book onto one of our school tours, where you will have the opportunity to meet our staff and children and experience the Bromstone way for yourself.
