Temporary SENCO – MPS/UPS plus SEN Allowance. TLR may also be available.

The Maplesden Noakes School is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Temporary SENCO to join our team on a fixed-term appointment in order to support and maintain high-quality SEND provision during a period of temporary staffing needs.  Although initially a short-term contract until 17th July 2026, the role may be needed into the next academic year.

 Reporting to the Head of School you will support the strategic development and take an operational lead on SEND across the school. You will ensure the effective implementation of the School’s SEN policy, coordinate provision for students with additional needs, and provide expert guidance to staff, parents/carers and external agencies. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with strong experience in SEND and a commitment to inclusive education.

Salary:  MPS/UPS plus SEN Allowance. A TLR payment may also be available for the right candidate subject to suitable qualifications and experience.

We are looking for someone who holds QTS and preferably the National Award for SEN Co-ordination, has experience working at whole-school level and leading SEND provision.  You need to be committed to inclusion, safeguarding and achieving the best outcomes for every student.
