We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and reflective teacher to join our friendly and supportive team on a maternity cover basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a welcoming village primary school with a strong Christian ethos, where children are at the heart of everything we do. We are able to offer flexibility in this role, and welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time work.

Information about the school

Boughton-under-Blean and Dunkirk Methodist Primary school is a one-form entry primary school with up to 210 pupils. We are located just outside Canterbury, close to the M2/A2/Thanet Way motorways, just a few minutes drive from both Canterbury and Faversham.

At Boughton-under-Blean and Dunkirk Primary we aspire for all our children to become confident, happy and caring individuals who achieve personal success and develop a love of learning and a life built upon our school values. This is regardless of the specific needs of each child as we believe it is vital to give each child every chance to succeed.

We were graded Good by Ofsted at our most recent inspection in January 2025 and we continue to build on this success to ensure that the very best education is possible through quality teaching along with a wide range of experiences and extra-curricular activities.

We have an experienced and skilful body of staff that always welcomes new members of the team although staff rarely leave such is our happy place of work. We believe in developing all members of staff and we are friendly and supportive.
