About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspiring Key Stage 2 Class Teacher or ECT to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and forward-thinking primary school.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and ensuring all pupils are supported to reach their full potential.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school

 

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience in KS2 (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
  • Has high expectations of all pupils
  • Is committed to continuous professional development
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life

Joy Lane Foundation Primary School includes a PVI Nursery and a Special Resourced Provision (ASD) which is set in beautiful, extensive grounds near to Whitstable beach and town centre. We have just over 700 children attending our Nursery, Oysters SRP and twenty one mainstream school learning environments; the School also benefits from its wonderful swimming pool and Forest School. We are a supportive collaborative team which is committed to promoting a love of learning, for life, for the whole community. Our strong and inclusive ethos begins with the belief that everyone can succeed and combines positive personal values with the highest academic achievement.
