An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint a committed, caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to our wonderful team at Folkestone Primary School. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated, patient and hardworking, to help our children enjoy, learn and achieve success. The position will be primarily working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Shows optimism, positively and ambition for the school, its pupils and the Trust
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND in an educational capacity
  • Is a great team-player
  • Has a desire to make a real difference to the lives of pupils in an area of coastal disadvantage and fully embrace the diverse community
  • Has secure subject knowledge, including of phonics/ early reading
  • Is committed to their own continuing professional development so that the learning opportunities offered are grounded in knowledge of best practice and are evidence-informed
