Leigh Academy Milestone is looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our special educational needs (SEN) team. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in supporting children with learning difficulties or considering a career in teaching.

This permanent role is 31.75 hours per week (term time + 1 week inset) with a salary of £18,552 - £19,825 per annum.

Leigh Academy Milestone is a large special school for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex needs, across five sites and is part of Leigh Academies Trust. We currently have 385 pupils on roll aged between the ages of 3 and 19. Leigh Academy Milestone has been judged as Outstanding by Ofsted at our last four inspections!

Each day our students bring their own unique energy into their school. In turn we ensure that they receive a high quality educational provision delivered through the immensely capable and effective hands of our staff.

We recognise that adopting a personalised approach is a critical key for each student’s development. Therefore we invest a significant amount of time assessing the student’s needs – an assessment that ensures we respond in the most specific manner.
