Join our village school and let your light shine!

Woodchurch CE Primary is a small, rural Church of England school nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside. We are proud of our warm, inclusive ethos, strong community links, and commitment to ensuring every child is known, valued, and supported.

The Role

• Start Date: 1 September 2026

• Salary: MPS

• Contract: Permanent

• Basis: Full-time

We believe in finding the right person rather than a specific "fit." Because we have a flexible and collaborative team, many of our current staff are open to moving year groups to accommodate the strengths and passions of a new colleague. Therefore, we are delighted to welcome applications from teachers across the full primary range (EYFS to Year 6).

Why Woodchurch might be the perfect fit for you:

• We are a single-form entry school with class sizes capped at 26, enabling strong relationships and truly responsive teaching.

• Beautiful Rural Setting: Our school combines character and tradition with modern, well-resourced facilities in a stunning countryside location.

• A Values-Driven Community: We have a deeply rooted Christian ethos and a wonderful connection to All Saints’ Church and the local village.

• Collaborative Growth: As part of the Flourish Together Federation, we work closely with High Halden CE Primary for shared CPD, planning, and professional support.

• True Work-Life Balance: Benefit from one day of PPA every fortnight, with the flexibility to take it at home.

• A Caring Culture: You’ll be joining a supportive staff who believe in professional growth, mutual kindness, and a shared sense of purpose.

What we are looking for:

We welcome applicants of any specialism—your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to children are what matter most to us. We hope you will:

• Inspire and engage children with exciting, differentiated learning experiences.

• Embrace and promote our Christian values and inclusive ethos.

• Collaborate with colleagues across our federation to contribute to shared planning and CPD.

• Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.
