We are offering exactly that...We have a great opportunity for a knowledgeable and efficient individual to join us in the role of Science Technician at Leigh Academy Rainham from September 2026. Responsible for the smooth 'behind the scenes' operation of the science department, our successful candidate will provide necessary support to our teaching staff from the get-go!

Our Technicians play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our faculties so it is essential that our successful candidate is confident in providing technical assistance and student support in a classroom environment within this subject area. This position is ideal for those seeking a career in the teaching profession as we can support you through the process.

This is a permanent opportunity, working 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week inset with an actual salary of £23,103 per annum (£26,861 full time equivalent). Working hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm, with an early finish of 3.30pm on Wednesdays.

Opened in September 2021 with 180 founding students, our co-educational comprehensive school for 11–18-year-olds is already oversubscribed and positioned to become a beacon of excellence in Medway.
