Make a difference where it matters most.

Are you a cleaning professional with a "gold standard" approach to hygiene? Do you have the leadership skills to inspire a team and the pride to ensure our school shines every single morning?

At Newington Community Primary School we aren't just looking for someone to manage mops and buckets. We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor who understands that a sparkling, safe environment is the foundation for a child’s best day of learning.

The Role

As our Cleaning Supervisor, you will be the "boots on the ground" leader for our cleaning team. You will balance your time between hands-on cleaning and overseeing the teams operations.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading by Example: Managing a team of 5 cleaners, providing training, and ensuring high morale.
  • Quality Control: Conducting daily inspections to ensure classrooms, toilets, and halls meet our strict hygiene standards.
  • Safety First: Managing COSHH records and ensuring all equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
  • Stock Management: Keeping an eye on supplies and ordering materials within budget.
  • Deep Cleaning: Planning and executing intensive cleaning schedules during school holidays.

About You

You don’t need to have worked in a school before, but you do need to have a passion for excellence. We are looking for:

  • Experience: A proven track record in commercial cleaning, ideally with some supervisory experience.
  • Communication: Someone who can talk to staff, students, and contractors with ease and professionalism.
  • Reliability: Our school relies on you to be there; punctuality and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
  • Detail-Oriented: You’re the person who notices the dust on top of the picture frame that everyone else misses.

Why Work With Us?

  • Great Community: Join a supportive, friendly staff team who truly value the work you do.
  • Pension Scheme: Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Purpose: Know that every shift you work directly contributes to the health and happiness of hundreds of children.
