This is a key role supporting early identification of attendance concerns, building positive relationships with families, and helping remove barriers to regular school attendance.

  • Work with parents/carers to support improved attendance, using a supportive and solution-focused approach
  • Support the implementation of the school’s attendance policy and procedures
  • Liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead where attendance concerns may indicate safeguarding issues
  • Prepare attendance data, reports, and correspondence as required
  • Work with external agencies and the local authority where appropriate
  • Promote a culture of high expectations for attendance and punctuality across the school
  • Ensure all work is conducted in line with safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality requirements

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience of working in a school or similar setting (desirable)
  • Has a good understanding of attendance, inclusion, and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Can work confidently with families and professionals, sometimes around challenging issues
  • Is well organised, accurate, and confident using school management systems
  • Is calm, professional, and committed to supporting children’s well-being and success
  • Shares our values of Belong, Believe, Achieve

What We Offer

  • A supportive and welcoming school community
  • A role that makes a real difference to children’s lives
