Luton Primary School, part of The Rivermead Inclusive Trust, is looking to appoint a resilient, enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is passionate about supporting children to succeed and reach their full potential.
 
We are seeking a positive and dedicated HLTA to work across Key Stage 2, delivering targeted interventions and supporting teaching and learning with a particular focus on year 6, including covering whole classes when required. You will play a key role in raising attainment and supporting pupil progress through high-quality, evidence-based intervention work.
 
You will need to be highly committed, flexible, adaptable, and reflective in your practice, with a strong focus on ensuring all children feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

You will:
  • Deliver high-quality, targeted interventions across KS2 to support pupil progress, using data to inform planning and impact with a particular focus on year 6 and their progress towards the SATs
  • Work closely with class teachers to plan, deliver and assess learning, ensuring interventions align with whole class teaching
  • Cover classes across the school as and when required, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Model excellent classroom practice and support positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy
  • Monitor, track and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, adapting approaches as needed
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement in learning
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents and, where appropriate, external agencies
  • Contribute to team meetings and pupil progress discussions
  • Comply with all safeguarding, school policies, and statutory requirements
