About the Role
Lead with purpose. Inspire potential from the very beginning.

As Group Director of Nurseries, you will lead our ambition to deliver outstanding, inclusive early years education across all settings. Providing strategic oversight, you will ensure a consistently high-quality experience for every child, aligned with EYFS principles and Ofsted expectations.

Working closely with Nursery Managers, you will build strong, high-performing teams and support excellent outcomes across education, behaviour, personal development, and leadership. Through clear direction and coaching, you will embed a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement and child-centred practice.

Using data and professional insight, you will evaluate provision, identify opportunities and drive improvement so all children make strong progress. You will also develop effective partnerships with families, local authorities and external agencies, ensuring provision is inclusive, responsive and fully compliant with safeguarding, SEND and funding requirements.

As a visible, values-led leader, you will model excellent practice and support others to develop, creating environments where children and colleagues feel valued and able to succeed.

We are equally committed to our people, offering benefits including generous annual leave, strong development opportunities, flexible personal leave, an 18% pension contribution, wellbeing support, and access to a wide range of discounts and perks.

About You

You will be a values-driven leader with a passion for early years education and its impact on children and communities. With significant leadership experience and a strong understanding of the EYFS, you will drive high-quality, inclusive practice across multiple settings.

You will confidently use data to improve outcomes, identify effective approaches and support others to embed them. Your collaborative leadership style will build trust, develop teams and create a positive, empowering culture.

You will have strong knowledge of safeguarding, SEND and Early Help, and be experienced in working with families, local authorities and external partners. With excellent communication skills, you will build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Resilient and reflective, you will approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset and sound judgement, with a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

You will also bring:

  • Significant early years leadership experience
  • A track record of improving quality and outcomes
  • Experience of coaching and developing staff
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and PREVENT
  • A relevant Level 6 Early Years qualification with QTS, plus English and Maths at Level 2

Above all, you will share our commitment to transforming lives through education, ensuring every child has the best possible start.

Salary per annum: £59,985

Annual Leave per annum: 38 days
