Term Time Only - Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 2.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide day to day administration support for all HR related matters across all HR functions, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly and effectively. 

You will coordinate the recruitment process from advertising through to appointment ensuring all pre-employment checks and onboarding processes meet safer recruitment requirements.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the staff probation and promotion processes and assist with absence monitoring and HR reporting, supporting the HR Manager with employee relations.

You will maintain accurate HR records in line with data protection requirements.

About You:

We are looking for an HR professional who has experience of working in a busy and varied HR department.

You will have a good knowledge of HR employment legislation and can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

You will also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities whilst also working collaboratively as part of a team.

Attention to detail, strong administration skills and confidence with MS Office packages and HR information systems are essential along with a professional, positive can-do attitude.

Experience working within education would be advantageous but is not essential.

Information about the school

Valence School is a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people aged 4-19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties. Our school is unique within the maintained sector in the whole of southern England. We cater for students aged 4 to 19 and have both day and boarding places. We have a large site with high quality teaching, social care and health care facilities. A staff team of 200 people provides specialist teaching, social care, therapies and nursing care to an exceptionally high standard.

Our overall aim is to enable every child and young person to achieve meaningful independence. Students flourish in a supportive but challenging environment, making good educational progress and achieving a range of accreditation as they get older. There is excellent support to enable students to achieve functional communication, mobility and skills for daily living.
