Are you a passionate and inclusive teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher (Semi‑Formal Pathway) to join our specialist provision, working closely with the Headteacher, SENDCo and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, child-centred education for pupils with a range of complex needs.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher (Semi‑Formal Pathway), you will:

• Plan and deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN, including autism, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties

• Develop and implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans in collaboration with SENDCo and therapists

• Use structured, multisensory approaches to support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement

• Create a safe, nurturing and well-structured classroom environment

• Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reviews and assessments

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals

About You

We welcome applications from:

• Qualified Teachers (QTS/PGCE or equivalent)

• Unqualified Teachers with relevant SEN experience

You will have:

• Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEN (through placements or employment)

• A strong understanding of inclusive practice and behaviour support strategies

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development

We have an exciting, yet challenging curriculum set out for pupils ranging from PMLD in the Nurture Centre to pupils in Semi Formal with ASD and other learning difficulties such as GD, SLCD to Formal the pathway with pupils who have an EHCP for ASD/ADHD/SLCD etc. Serenity is built upon the vision and excellence of highly skilled professionals with over 20 years of experience in education and in clinical environments. Through experiences gained we recognise that the well-being and academic achievement of the majority of young people is significantly accelerated by addressing the root causes of behavioural, emotional, social difficulties, and without this some young people simply cannot access education.
