We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated PE Teacher to join our successful and growing SEND school in Maidstone.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner to deliver engaging and inclusive physical education, predominantly to our secondary-aged pupils, while also supporting some primary classes. The role plays an important part in promoting physical wellbeing, confidence and enjoyment of sport for all learners.
 
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching PE to pupils with SEND and be able to motivate and engage reluctant learners through creative and well-structured lessons. They will be highly organised, with the ability to plan and manage a year-long timetable, including fixtures, events and key bookings. In addition, they will be confident in delivering vocational skills lessons to KS4 pupils, supporting students to develop practical skills and independence.
 
A full, clean driving licence is desirable, as the role includes transporting pupils to a range of sporting activities and off-site experiences. Above all, we are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed and enjoy being active.

Serenity School is a unique provision following a therapeutic humanistic approach to education and childhood development. Our goal is to ensure that vulnerable children stay within an educational setting or return from home education as quickly as possible and take advantage of our 3 Tier Curriculum offer. We have an exciting, yet challenging curriculum set out for pupils ranging from PMLD in the Nurture Centre to pupils in Semi Formal with ASD and other learning difficulties such as GD, SLCD to Formal the pathway with pupils who have an EHCP for ASD/ADHD/SLCD etc. Serenity is built upon the vision and excellence of highly skilled professionals with over 20 years of experience in education and in clinical environments. Through experiences gained we recognise that the well-being and academic achievement of the majority of young people is significantly accelerated by addressing the root causes of behavioural, emotional, social difficulties, and without this some young people simply cannot access education.
