Following the retirement of our current Head of Department, Sir Roger Manwood’s School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspiring Head of Mathematics to lead this vibrant and successful department at an exciting point in the school’s journey.

The Role

As Head of Mathematics, you will:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to a committed team of subject specialists
  • Shape and refine a rich, challenging and engaging Mathematics curriculum, which celebrates diversity.
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across all key stages
  • Embed an impactful assessment and marking policy
  • Working alongside SLT to be relentless in wanting the best opportunities and learning for all pupils
  • Quality assures standards of behaviour for learning across the department
  • Play a visible role in the wider life and leadership of the school
  • Champion a love of Mathematics across the school community

The post would suit an experienced Head of Mathematics, or an ambitious second‑in‑department ready to take the next step in a supportive and aspirational environment.
