Salary: KSB Full Time Equivalent £26,822, Actual Salary £15,393
Hours: 25 hours per week, 8am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, term time only
Reporting to: Headteacher

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional School Office Administrator to join our welcoming school team 1st September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy front-facing environment and takes pride in providing outstanding administrative and customer service support.

As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, visitors, and external agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and creating a positive first impression of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional reception service to all visitors, parents, pupils, and staff
  • Manage telephone, email, and in-person enquiries efficiently
  • Maintain visitor sign-in systems in line with safeguarding procedures
  • Support general office administration including filing, photocopying, typing, and data entry
  • Assist with pupil attendance records and school management systems
  • Maintain accurate pupil and staff records in line with GDPR requirements
  • Support communication with parents and carers
  • Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality procedures at all times
  • Assist with school events, meetings, and other administrative duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, or office administration
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365
  • A calm, professional manner and the ability to prioritise workloads
  • A friendly, flexible, and reliable approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

 Desirable

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of school MIS systems such as Pupil Asset
  • Experience with attendance monitoring or pupil data
