Compass Federation is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher to join the team at St Paul’s Church of England Primary School, a distinctive and much-loved village school with a warm Christian ethos and strong community spirit.

St Paul’s is a welcoming and nurturing Church school rooted in the Christian vision of “Life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). With 107 pupils across four mixed-age classes, we pride ourselves on knowing every child as an individual and enabling them to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.

We are looking for a committed teacher to work 3 days per week, teaching 2 days in one class and 1 day in another, supporting continuity of learning and delivering high-quality teaching across the school.

A distinctive feature of St Paul’s is our innovative use of Continuous Provision from Reception through to Year 4, creating rich learning environments where children explore, investigate and develop independence. The school also benefits from Forest School, exciting curriculum opportunities and strong partnerships with families, the parish church and the wider community.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils
  • Can inspire, motivate and nurture children to achieve their best
  • Values creativity, child-led learning and inclusive practice
  • Works well as part of a supportive team
  • Shares and supports our Christian vision and values
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development

In return, we offer:

  • The opportunity to work in a distinctive village school with a strong community identity
  • Friendly, enthusiastic pupils who enjoy learning
  • A dedicated and supportive staff team
  • Collaboration and development opportunities across Compass Federation
  • A creative curriculum and innovative learning approach
  • A caring and positive working environment

This role would suit an experienced teacher or an early career teacher looking to develop in a supportive and nurturing setting.
