Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role in a friendly and supportive school community? Palm Bay Primary School is seeking a reliable and diligent School Cleaner to help maintain our high standards of cleanliness for our pupils, staff and visitors.

About the role:
You’ll be responsible for cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and other school areas, helping to ensure our school is a safe, welcoming and pleasant place to learn and work. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team who take pride in keeping our school environment clean and safe.

About you:

  • You’ll have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work
    You’re reliable, punctual and able to work independently
    Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential; full training will be provided

Working Hours:

  • 20 hours week (4 hours a day, Monday to Friday)
  • During Term Time (38 weeks) 6.45-8.45am and 3.30-5.30pm
  • Non-Term Time (6 weeks stretched over the 14 non-term time weeks) Flexible hours for 20 hours

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and other school areas as directed
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored securely
  • Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately
  • Replenish soap, hand towels, toilet rolls and other consumables
  • Report any maintenance or health and safety issues promptly to the Site Manager or relevant staff
  • Follow all school policies and procedures, especially those related to health and safety and safeguarding
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks during school holidays or as directed
  • Take pride in keeping the school environment clean, tidy and safe for all users
