We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our team at Goat Lees Primary School.

We currently have a teaching vacancy for September 2026

Both experienced and Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply. As a one form entry primary school, strength or interest in a subject area or part of the curriculum may be of interest so applicants are encouraged to include details of this on their application form.

All new staff will undergo an induction programme and will be appointed a mentor from one of our experienced teachers. Early Careers Teachers will be given dedicated release time and will be provided with a thorough programme of support in line with the early career teacher entitlement (ECTE).

About the Role

We are looking or a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to complement our existing team, who will:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the needs of all pupils, especially those with SEND and those accessing pupil premium provision.
  • Share our view that pupil’s personal development is a fundamental part of their learning
  • Embrace and embed Quality First Teaching to enhance learning and understanding in the classroom.
  • Support the implementation of our curriculum, with a particular focus on maths and writing skills.
  • Use assessment and data effectively to monitor and accelerate pupil progress.
  • Work collaboratively with our locality team, families, and wider school staff to promote positive behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
