We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about providing a high-quality, inspiring and inclusive education
  • Has high expectations for all learners
  • Can work effectively as part of a team, including within a job-share
  • Delivers engaging and creative lessons within a well-sequenced curriculum
  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Is reflective and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Supports and embodies our Christian vision and values

We can offer:

  • A genuinely warm, welcoming and supportive school community
  • Happy, kind and enthusiastic children who love learning
  • A strong team ethos where staff support and value one another
  • A culture rooted in care, where relationships come first
  • High-quality, evidence-informed professional development
  • Excellent facilities and beautiful outdoor spaces
  • A positive approach to flexible and part-time working

Information about the school

Lamberhurst St Mary’s is a thriving and vibrant one-form entry Church of England primary school with approximately 210 pupils on roll. At the heart of our village community, we are proud to be a school where every child is truly known, valued and nurtured.

We are more than just a school, we are a close-knit, supportive community. There is a real sense of family here, where children, staff and parents work together with kindness, care and mutual respect. Visitors often comment on the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the genuine relationships that underpin everything we do.

Our children are happy, confident and eager to learn. They look out for one another, celebrate each other’s successes and take pride in belonging to our school. Our staff are dedicated, supportive and collaborative, and our parents are actively engaged partners in school life. Together, this creates a special environment where everyone feels they belong.

As recognised in our SIAMS inspection, “a culture of kindness is modelled… as a result, pupils care actively for each other.”

Our vision, “Learning for life in the love of God”, underpins all aspects of school life and enables both children and adults to flourish. Ofsted (March 2023) also recognised that “pupils are happy and feel safe” in our “caring school.”

Please visit our website to gain further insight into our school. We also strongly encourage all candidates considering an application to visit us in person.
